RED, ITCHY TESTICLES

I HAD UNPROTECTED SEX ABOUT 3WEEKS AGO...ABOUT 4 DAYS AGO I GOT OUT OF THE SHOWER AND USUALLY PUT JOHNSONS BABY LOTION ON MY PENIS AND TESTICLES, BUT I HAD RAN OUT SO I USED MY GIRLFRIENDS NIVEA LOTION INSTEAD....THE NEXT DAY MY TESTICLES WERE REALLY RED AND VERY ITCHY...I HAVE NO BUMPS ON MY TESTICLES, I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF RED, ITCHY TESTICLES COULD BE A SIGN OF A STD?

I would keep using the creme or switch to a hydrocortozone creme. If it doesn't clear up in a weeks total time then I would go to a Dr.

i've been using over the counter treatment for a few days now and the itch has gone but the rash like redness is still there

Sounds more like a reaction to the lotion you used. You changed the lotion you used and the next day red and itchy-sounds like they go together.
