Recently diagnosed with trichomonaisis, could this cause swollen glands?

Unprotected sexual intercourse 5 weeks ago, tested negative for HIV 3 times, 16 days, 24 days and 35 days after possible exposure. Diagnosed with trichomonaisis two days ago, and have taken 2000mg flagyl. No more discharge but still have swollen glands. Can trich cause my swollen glands throughout my whole body? (These have been confirmed by DR.) started in groin, spread to both armpits and now my entire head and neck. I am curious to know if trich can indeed cause persistent swollen glands since it still is an infection. Thank you
