Red marks under Penis Glans

Hello,

I am an 35 yo gay male who noticed a red mark right under the lip of the head of my penis in late december of this year.   It seemed to go away and then another showed up in another area over the last few days.  It is a red mark between the lower head of the penis under the "lip" - it does hurt a little bit when you touch it.   I have only received oral sex lately, and have never had unprotected anal sex in my life.  I know the chances of STD infection  (HIV) are slim to none, however I am still worried that it is something more serious.   I have checked with my GP who said it didn't look like anything serious.   Of course when you read things online various places say that you can have everything from cancer to aids, which doesn't help my mindset at all.

I recently relocated to a warmer climate about a year ago, and am a server which requires me to be on my feet walking a lot - my question is, can this be something as mild as irritation due to my job, or should I be concerned about it something more serious?
