What is my risk for stis?

I just broke up with my girlfriend. We never had sex, but she gave me multiple unprotected blow jobs and I fingered her multiple times. This is the only girl I have ever been with. She gets routinely tested and she has always been negative for everything. However, her routine checks don't involve a herpes test. We talked about it, and she never had cold sores as a kid and has never had any signs of herpes, so I felt somewhat safe. Since being with her, I haven't seen any signs within myself either. Although I have noticed my testicles itching more than normal, but that might be in my head. Should I get tested before I have sexual contact with anyone else? How big of a risk am I at? Should I be worried? Thanks!

Every time you finish a relationship with a partner, you should go for a full std test before starting new relationships.

The kind of encounters you had with your ex-girlfriend (oral sex) would have exposed you to syphilis, gonorrhea and herpes. As you said, there is not really anything to worry about, because she tested periodically, which is always helpful. If you are worry about herpes, you can test 3 months after the last encounter. It would be interesting to test for the other two as follows :

-3 weeks after the last encounter, you can test for gonorrhea.
-6 weeks after the last encounter, you can test for syphilis, and if you get a negative result, it would be interesting to test again 3 months after the last encounter, as there are people that take longer to show a positive result.

All the best.
