My doctor won't release results over the phone, could it be trich?

25 yo sexually active female here.

I apologize for the speculation but i'm wiggling out here.

An ex texted to tell me his new partner was positive for trich and i should get tested. I did an in-home test and it came back negative. I'm pretty sure it was done beyond the 28 day incubation period. Everyone on her end came back negative as well. My ex came back negative, but had taken an antibiotic recently.

HOWEVER, I just got a call from my recent gyno check up (4 weeks ago) that I have to come in for results and they won't tell me anymore over the phone. Just that it isn't urgent and to have my insurance/co-pay ready.

I did experience bleeding while not on my period, which is a trich symptom. No other symptoms, trich or otherwise. Is it possible I'm the mystery carrier and the home test just missed it?

I know I should just calm down, and wait to be told by the doctor, but i am freaking out.

Thanks in advance.

Hi if your doctor said it wasent urgent then i would assume you dont have it but im not sure why they would not give you the results over the phone.

They said it was because they get a lot of questions they can't answer over the phone. I'm assuming that means there is something to discuss.
