gonorrhea positive

I was recently (end of july) tested for STD's and got a positive on my gonorrhea. My partner of 6 months went and got tested his came back negative. I had been tested in December of last year for my yearly physical and everything came back negative. In april i went in because i thought i had a uti but the doctor insisted i be test for std's as well. the uti came back positive and the std negative. I have only had the one partner since december. He had admitted to cheating and though it had come from him. but when his test came back negative he no longer thought that.I went with to the doctor with him as well as was with him when the doctor called with his results. Im at a lose as to how i could have all these test and it have gone unnoticed. My doctor told me it most likely was dormant but everyone else has said it doesnt lay dormant. She also said it may not have been a strong case of it. another question would be home much damage that could cause. And how if these tests are so accurate two of mine came back negative and one came back positve while having the same partner and absolutely no slip ups on my end. Im so confused and worried i could be forever damaged.

he did not until he got tested this past time. a couple weeks ago. because of exposure.
and i thought that it should have came up as well. or at least in april. if i had had it before this relationship.

it would've been detected in december if you are infected.

did your partner receive any antibiotics after he cheated on you?
