Sex after Oral Gonorhhea Diagnosis?

I have been diagnosed with gonorhhea in my throat.  i know it is 7 days/1 week until any sexual contact again.  my question is, if its in my throat can i only pass it on by performing oral sex? kissing?  If so does that mean I can still receive oral sex or have sex with a condom with no risk of passing it on within the 1 week period?

gp diagnosed me with tonsilitis got tested same day at sex clinic and a week later tested positive for throat gonorrhea. symptoms were inflammed tonsil with ulcers, fever, night sweats and sore throat-hard to swallow. gp diagnosed antibiotics and throat specialist booked me in for tonsilectomy on oct 17th. sex clinic prescribed antibiotic injection and 2 pills to take orally.
4 days since that treatment and its all calmed down now. wondering when i can resume sexual activity and whether its still worth getting my tonsils out?
