Squashed testicle

Hi, I have a question....when I have a shower and start washing my groin....every time I can feel my left testicle is squashed or something.  I dunno what it is but it is as if the testicle is fully there but there is a squashed bit hanging from it.  I am not sure but it is bothering me a lot.  After talking to my nan who is a nurse, she recons its probably to do with puberty or something and that it would probably recover as I finish puberty.  But im 17 and I have had that for a few years now.  Can someone help me on what I should do?  I don't really like going to genital exams because it makes me really uncomfortable so if any of you could give me an answer that would be great!

I agree.  Its not always comfortable getting an exam, but wouldn't it be easier to get an exam then spend more time worrying?

Unfortunately, I think you will have to go to the doc to get this checked out.
