Chlamydia via hands / fingers with vaginal fluid / how risky?

Hello from Germany,

sometimes I'm going to prostitutes and have fun with them - but I always want to be on the safe side
so I am a big supporter of "safer sex"! Since some articles in the WEB I became very afraid that I am maybe infected with chlamydia. Here is the reason why I am afraid:

- I always (ONLY) enjoy wachting the girls playing with herself and mastrubating to that (Sometimes I stroke them a little bit with my other Hand) -  just before the climax they are often helping me with a handjob. Cumming on her breasts or belly. Sometimes there can be some vaginal fluid on their hands!!! I've never really thought about that risk - since I read some articles.

So finalized- no condom; but also no penetration or oral sex. Maybe sometimes a little bit vaginal fluid on hands.

Here are six comments (from miscellaneous health sites in the UK and Germany - translated) which made me thougtfoul (very afraid):

1.)   It can also passed by hand or other body part moistened with infected secretions

2.)  The infection can also be transmitted by fingers and sex toys

3.) It's unclear whether chlamydia can be spread through touch to another person's genitals if there is infected semen or vaginal fluid on your fingers, or by rubbing female genitals together.

4.) infection can be transferred on fingers from the genitals to other parts of the body (for example, chlamydia can occur in the eyes)

5.) your genitals coming into contact with your partner's genitals – this means you can get chlamydia from someone even if there is no penetration, orgasm or ejaculation

6.)  Even if a person has never had any penetration of the vagina or anus, she or he could still be at risk.

Please answer - is or was there a risk?? How risky was it? I am totally confused and afraid.

Best regards

Jasi

Hi Dave,

thank you so much for your quick reply! But unfortunately I had some  symptoms and was treated with Doxy - 10 days after the visit of this prostitute. I always thought that I had no risk for any std. if you only play with hands.

So it would be great if you could give me some more detailled answers regarding my five questions. Also if you are convinced that there was no risk!

Thank you

Hello Vance,

it's me again - greetings from Germany! Your last answer was very helpful and I felt safe! Very safe... maybe to safe. The following happened and now I am a little bit in panic / afraid:
Since our last conversation I still went to prostitutes (two times in the current year) - until our last conversation no penetration or oral sex, only handjobs and fingering. Also I paid extra attention that no vaginal fluid came in contact with my penis.
Also no other intercourse!

During my last visit it seems to me that something went wrong. Strong Handjob with lube and I fingered her. After cumming I used a paper towel and washed my Hands - maybe I came in contact with my penis and her vagina fluid?

One week after this contact I felt a little burning during urinating and later some discharge (just some clear drops - like "pre-cum" - without color and odorless / ca. five times). I was totally suprised and confused - I directly went to an Urologist.
I told him my story. From his point of view it is unlikely to get Chlamydia by this way but my symptoms sounds like an possible Chlamydia infection.  Everything was prepared for a swap-test but after my story he refrained from his plan.

He gave me Doxycyclin  2x 100g for 5 days (so 10 tablets in total). After two days my symptoms were away!

So now I am a littel bit afraid and still confused - so here are my questions:

1.) I am 95% sure that I caught me an infection during my last visit - is there a possibility for another bacterial infection (not Chlamydia)

2.) Where can I get this infection from? Maybe from the lube or lube bottle / during washing my penis / her hand? I never had problems with lubes (allergy)

3.) In the meantime I learned from the web that Doxycyclin is the correct treatment but normally you should take it 7 or 10 days - I am in panic that 5 days were not long enough. (Although there was no proof or positive test) - Is there now a risk for a silence infection (infection without symptoms)? Or should 5 days also work if there was a Chlamydia infection?

4.) My bad feelings (maybe an infectoion, only 5 days Doxycyclin and so on) forced me now to buy a chlamydia hometest set? How reliable are these private tests? Can it help me to quieten down?

5.) How long I have to wait to test me after the 5 day Doxycyclin treatment - to have a reliable result? Does it make sense?

Thank you for your help and answers

Hello Vance,

thank you very much for the quick reply - that reassures me a bit!

But why are there so many different Statements in the WEB (also on very popular sites)? Any idea

Best regards
