Swollen tonsils and bleeding gums

Hi! I recently developed swolen tonsils and bleeding gums, this after smoking particularly more than I usually do. I however have had sex regulary with different partners, always with condom. I've been reading a lot about hiv and it scares me the fact that I have swollen tonsils and my gums are bleeding but I just have those 2 symptoms, nothing else, no rash, no night sweats, no joint pain. Could it be related more to my smoking habit rather than hiv? Please answer
