Syphilis - Penicillin

I tested positive for Syphillis and my doctor gave me a shot of penicillin. The next day I felt my scrotum was on fire. I could not get the pain to stop, as the day continued, the pain got stronger. I took 3 Advils and went to sleep. This morning, I had a slight pain...could it be because of the shot?

Hi, what your describing is not a known affect of a penicillin shot unless it was given at the scrotum area.

The shot was given on my rear end, on the muscle portion. I also started PrEP the following day. Maybe a side effect?
