Syphilis since 2012

In Aug 2012 I find out that I have contracted Syphilis and received treatment for same since them but I am still positive. I have received more treatment this year and last month I was placed on a 28 days of doxycycline but this week I started experiencing burning sensation when I urine, high fever and sore throat. Appearing on my skin and penis are some dark spots, I showed it to my physician but he told me not to worry. I am very worried I know that this will take some time for me to get better but I am really worried. It has been a year now plus months since I started my treatment. Any Advise would be welcoming.

Headaches and sore throat should have nothing to do with syphilis.

You may always test positive for syphilis, but your Tier# should go down after treatment.
