Thrush and Other Symptoms - Need Advice

Almost 3 weeks ago, I had protected contact w/ a SW. First time (and last time) ever doing this. In complete panic, I took full panel of STD tests 2 days after contact and again after 14 days, all negative. I was given one dose of Suprax and Azythromiacin to clear certain symptoms I was feeling - I took these meds 3 days after contact.

I felt an abundance of guilt immediately after the act and 2 days after contact, experienced tons of anxiety and began feeling burning acidity in the top of my abdomen. The next few days resulted in diarrhea, which has since subsided, but I have not been regular since then (not loose, but not solid BMs). The 4th day after contact, I noticed my tongue was coated white. Since then, the acidity has reduced; however, it looks like I have thrush. My cousin, who is a GI, face timed me and looked at my tongue. He wasn't 100% sure, but went ahead and prescribed me swish and spit nystatin. I am also experiencing some itchiness on the palm of hands, bottom of feet, and front tip of arm pits. Temporary rashes/redness appear on my hands then go away. On occasion, I feel like I might have some burning after peeing (but that could be in my head).

Here are my questions (asked in hiv form, and said not at risk): 1) hiv risk (PCR came back negative 2 days and at 14 days - does this supersede antibody/4th gen - any reason to take again)? 2) any other stds that could be lingering that could cause my symptoms? 3) could I have a yeast infection or uti? 2) can the antibiotics have caused the white coating on my tongue? 3) can the acidity I was feeling have caused the white coating on my tongue, 4) is the white coating on my tongue thrush or could it be something else, 5) what would you recommend I do...

The antibiotics could have given you a yeast infection (Candida) Look up candida cleanse on the internet, there is a whole list of things to solve this. It prbly didn't come from the SW what happens is we all have Candida (yeast) in our digestive systems it is kept in check by good bacteria. When you take a high powered antibiotic it kills all bacteria including the good in your digestives. This leaves the yeast to over run the place. Get a good probiotic and a bottle of Candi-Cleanse from amazon. Take the candi-cleanse first don't eat sugar or drink alcohol then after the bottle is gone take the probiotics. It will solve the thrush. also brush oil of oregano on your tongue it will help kill it and get your tongue normal again. As far as the SW thing its good you feel like crap for doing it, you took a risk there, so don't do it again. And forgive yourself and move on! If you pray, pray about it and forgive yourself and move on! thats all you can do! Good luck

Your gonna be OK. Everybody makes mistakes. Ans anxiety makes things so much worse. Don't be so hard on yourself and you will start to feel much better.

Is there any chance this could be early signs of herpes or hpv related? Especially the itchiness and temporary rashes? I think the std center said I needed to retest for herpes at 28 days. I was planning to retest for everything between 4-5 weeks. I would really appreciate your thoughts here as well. Concerned because I have a partner.

I think a lot of your symptoms are anxiety related. The stomach issue def anxiety. I had acidicic stomach in my teens where i would puke and stomach pain and diareahs and it turned out to be anxiety related. And when I was super young about 18, I messed up and did something very similar to your situation and puked for days out of disgust and remorse. I'm not a doc. But that's what it sounds like to me. Plus when thrush gets out of control it will make you itchy all over. Herpes will come out as a painful large blister. And HPV doesn't have many symptoms until you get a wart. I have been with 3 partners for the past. 15 years and suddenly found a HPV wart on the back of my throat. No symptoms just showed up one day. So all in all  high risk is having sex period. Its a roll of the dice. Just use a condom with your partner until you are positive you are clean and don't have sex with anymore hookers. Its gross.lol.  start the candida yeast cleanse and you will star feeling better.

Oh ya for the thrush on your tongue you can try this stuff called gentian violet. And yeast infection is contagious so wear a condom and lay off kissing till it clears up

Hi - Just following up. I tried the tea tree oil brush, oil pulling, and following a better diet. Seemed to get better, until yesterday noticed white tongue looks like it did a few days ago. Now got a prescription for difulcan. Want to take another round of std tests (tomorrow day 34) just to ease my mind a little. Waiting until I take that, before I start difulcan. Any thoughts on this medicine? Want to make sure it doesn't make white tongue worse.
