Trying to find out what is causing external vaginal pain

Every time I had a yeast infection has been since I lost my virginity. Whenever I have an infection I develop very painful large blisters and assumed it was normal. This time around I talked to a doctor about it and was told that they are not normal, and he was unsure of what it was, but his best guess was herpes although the blisters look nothing like it. They are very large and the skin sloughs off the inner labia and clitoris. After a few days my entire labia (which has swollen tremendously) has very hard, dark, (almost black) skin that eventually falls off and the healing takes place much faster afterwards. I am in immense pain and cannot sleep because of it. I've tried pain meds, am on valcyclovir in case of it really being herpes, lidocaine, and over the counter vaginal creams. The only thing that has soothe pain at all is castor oil. I am going crazy with all this pain. What can it be and how can I treat the pain so I can sleep?
