Uncured NGU

Hi
2 months ago I had unprotected sex, few weeks later I got urethral itching and irritation between voids, burning sensation and urethral pain. I was cured with 1g of Azithromycin. One month later I did unprotected Oral sex, 2 days later the previous symptoms returned. I got again  1g of Azithromycin. This time I had only few days of some relief, however, the symptoms returned. In both cases I have tested for chlamydia infection but nothing found. In the first test Leucocytes were fond. I am very frustrated. The doctor said that I should repeat the Azithromycin treatment.  What should I do? Should I take an alternative antibiotic?
Thanks a lot

I have checked by PCR tests for:
Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma & Trichmonas.
All tests were negative.
WBC negative as well.

I have got 2 courses of Azithromycine, but probably the second one was for nothing.
I dont see any reason to take more antibiotics since no STD exist.

You are experiencing what so many others are experiencing.  The medical community throws their hands in the air and says there is nothing they can do for us.  Look into Mycoplasma Genitalium and Ureaplasma.  Although there is debate regarding these bacteria, it's been well published that M. Genitalium is an STD, but it's not screened for and is very difficult to erradicate.

Also, were you treated with anything else after Azithromycine?  Please keep us updated.

After 2 months with an endless STD tests (any possible test), nothing was found.
Moreover, I had CT, Ultrasound, cystoscopy just name it.... and nothing was found.
By the end my urologist just say I don't know what is the problem.
Still having pain and burning sensation.
The only thing that help for a while was Clonex drug for anxiety that has provided 2 weeks of relief  then the pain returned....but less then before.
I am really frustrated since no real cure found.
Thanks for all your comments.

I suggest you have further testing to fin dout exactly what type of bacteria you have and then treat that.
