What are the risks after my unprotected oral encounter?

Hello all. I had an encounter with someone i met online last monday and she performed unprotected oral on me for 30 minutes. I was wondering if i had any risk of sti's. A little more details, she swears that she is sti free and she was just tested. I was in the middle of a 10 day amoxicillin treatment for strep throat, would this nullify any sti? I havent noticed any symptoms at all but once i started to think about the encounter i was constantly checking if any discharge occurred, im uncircumcised so i dont know if this would make it harder to notice. I called my doc and he told me not to worry and prescribed me azithromycin. Im really beating myself up over being so irresponsible. Any response would be great. Thank you.

Yeah, I wouldn't overly worry about gono. It's possible, but not all that likely.

Since this feeling you get only happens when you do something unprotected, I'd suspect it's anxiety. To save yourself the anxiety, perhaps using condoms for every activity or limiting yourself to committed, monogamous relationships with partners who's status you know is a good idea. You can get flavored condoms. :)

Amox is not one of the few antibiotics that will cure gonorrhea. https://www2c.cdc.gov/podcasts/media/pdf/AudioRounds_Gonorrhea.pdf

It looks like 2 grams of azithromycin will cure it - that's taken at once. How much and how did you take it?

Stop trying to push or force anything. If you get a discharge, you'll know it, and won't have to force or squeeze it out. Let your body heal.

It's possible that you could be at risk for trich, but the risk isn't well known for oral. If you take that med, do NOT drink alcohol on it. It will make you sick. (It should say that on the package if you got it filled.)

He prescribed me 1000mg to be taken all out once for the azithromycin and 2000mg for the metronidazole to be taken all at once. He told also not to worry because its not common or easy to get gono from oral.

I always get this strange feeling after I have an encounter, even if its completely protected, of the tip of my foreskin feels wet or cold and that makes me think that I'm having some sort of discharge but when I check its nothing. And like I said I also start trying to force anything out of my penis and i start putting pressure on the underside of my penis trying anything to force a discharge out. As I type this I just urinated and I feel the coldness/wetness on the tip of my penis. Maybe its just anxiety.

*UPDATE*
So no discharge or burning during urination. I have been feeling like a soreness or like a build up in my shaft but I feel like thats because I have been trying to push and force urine as well as trying to squeeze any discharge out of my penis but so far nothing. I was wondering if this might be indicative of any STI. Thanks again.

The amox wouldn't cancel it out totally, but probably would offer some protection, and you have a low risk anyway. Receiving oral sex is a risk for hsv1 genitally (which is viral, so no protection from amox or any other antibiotic), gonorrhea and syphilis. Both oral gonorrhea and syphilis aren't that common, so while it's a risk, it's not something I'd overly worry about, especially being on antibiotics. The azithromycin won't do much for either gonorrhea or syphilis, but it might help your strep heal faster.

As for herpes, if you don't already have hsv1, I wouldn't worry about that unless you get symptoms.

Interesting. My doctor told me that the azithromycin would take care of both gono and chlamidya. He also prescribed me metronidazole for trich but I dont know if I was at risk for it. Would I be exhibiting any symptoms if my encounter was on 5-14-2018 and if so what would they be? Also we made out, so if she did have oral gono would that a be risk for me too? Thanks AuntiJessi.
Also @AuntieJessi how effective is amox at killing an infection like gono?
