Will Gonorrhea treatment also work on Gardnerella infection?
I am away from home and I went to an urgent care. They diagnosed me with gonorrhea without doing any tests they just looked at it. I found out later from my girlfriend that it was actually Gardnerella she had passed on to me. They treated me with a Rocephin IM 250mg shot and 2 pills of Zithromax which is the standard treatment for gonorrrhea. will this cure Gardnerella as well since that is actually what i have?
Nope. Not unless it’s a general drug. Just tell the doctor (truth) that’s what it was. They cannot legally “”? Diagnose anything without first doing the standard procedure for it.
