Worried I might have a Chancre

Hi.

I had unprotected sex a couple of weeks ago. 6 days after having sex, a little bump showed up on the outer labia (top right), but i thought it was a pimple, cuz it was under the skin and hurt a little, now 11 days have gone by and it has become a big bump and still hurts a little when i touch it. It still is under the skin (not open) .

My question is: Can this be a chancre (syphilis primary stage)?

How long does it take for the bump to turn into an open sore in the primary stages?

I'm quite concerned, I want to go to the doctor but she's on vacations right now and it might take 2 to 3 weeks to get an appointment.

thanks in advance.

Thanks alot... I'm gonna do that.
Yesterday I put a cloth soaked in wated in the hopes it was an ingrown hair or pimples... today part of it popped and i think it is a huge pimple (yellowish stuff oozed from it just like a pimple does, and it had no fowl smell, then i squeezed it untill a little blood came out and then some tranparent stuff, exactly like a pimple would) but what scared me is tha i think it's 3 or 4 huge pimple under then skin and it had a shape like a chancre would.. i'm still going to the doctor, but i think I'm a little bit more relieved.

thanks again.

this is more likely to be something non-syphilis than it is to be syphilis or even herpes. pretty much you would need to be seen for a proper evaluation - sooner rather than later.

since this was unprotected sex you should consider covering your std bases with proper testing at the proper times. you can get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea anytime after 1 week post encounter. syphilis anytime after 6 weeks. herpes and hiv anytime after 3 months.

It's actually not an open sore yet (and it's been like that for 11 days) I also think it might be an ingrown hair, but it seemed oddly suspicious that it appeared like 6 days after the unprotected sex....

Thanks for your response.

you can also visit a clinic or another doctor.

syphilis doesn't hurt, it could be an ingrown hair. it only takes a week or so for a chancre to appear.
