Yeast Infection or Trichomoniasis

I had unprotected sex about 2weeks ago and a few days ago my vagina started to itch. I already had excessive discharge due to the birth control I just started in the beginning of the month. But the discharge got really thick. I looked on the web and had all the symptoms of a yeast infection. I went to the store to buy monistat 3 but that same day I noticed the discharge looked yellow-greenish. Looked on the web and it started freaking out because it started to point to Trichomoniasis (trinch) but I don’t have pelvic pain or odor. I decided to continue with the monistat 3 and the discharge is back to normal but the itch is gone durning the day but burns in the middle of the night when the medicine is inserted. I’m trying to get an appointment but with it being so close to the holidays I can’t get one and I’m stressing/freaking out. I read it can cause HIV! And Idk what to do I wanna cry. One mistake cause a life time of problems and emotional distress! Please help!
