cmv

My girlfriend was diagnosed with CMV. Since that time I started using condom during sex. I plan to do testing myself soon and if I find myself to be postive for CMV too, Do I have to continue to use condoms. If both partners have CMV, is protection still a must???. We both are healthy otherwise and have no relationships with others.

Why are you testing for this, there is no real need. About 80% of adults have this virus.

Because I have read symptoms about cmv and I thought I had mono but the test came back negative. I have been sick for the past 4 months. I am so scared that I have infected my mom and dad :(

cmv is not a std.  no need to use condoms because of it.

most adults have cmv. it's very common.
