fasle positive?

i had a pap and it came back positive for chlamydia.  i have had only one sexual partner my entire life, and he has been very faithful.  i trust him 100%.  he has had no other sexual partners either.  i was negative last year and he had to take doxycycline for a trip to india last fall. we always use condoms and have no sysmptoms. is it possible for this to be a false positive?

To my knowledge a Pap test is not a test done for Chlamydia ..... I would ask for a proper Chlamydia test .... if neither you or your boyfriend have had previous sexual partners and always use condoms then I would say it was near impossible to have an STD .... if that is not the case it is possible for one or the other to have contracted Chlamydia at some time and left it untreated because it often has no symptoms in which case it would be transmitted via unprotected sex,.... which you say you neither of you have ever had.

I admit to being baffled on this one and hope someone else may have a more informative response for you .....
