I was infected with GW IN 2004,I went to see a doctor and gave me treatement it clear up and i am wart free since 2005,iam wondering if i can start a relationship and have a family and the hpv comes always to close the door for me by making me afraid to make my gf infected(she is a virgin)can anybody tell me what the best for me and and my gf?ca I still have a family ?or there is a big chance to infect my gf?I realy don't know what to do ,so sad,i dont want her to get hpv from me?iam realy thinking to drop it and finish my rest of my life alone and single ,is there hope

has your gf had her gardasil shots?

the typical rule of thumb is - no recurrence of warts in a year after having them removed and the virus has cleared itself from your body.

genital warts are not a reason to live alone the rest of your life!!  the only difference between a wart on your finger and a wart on your genitals is location. they are the same basic thing and I doubt you'd decide to stay single the rest of your life if you suddenly had a wart on your finger or foot?

thank you very much for your answer,it's realy help me ,yes i realy want her to get the gardasil shot if she want to ,but if the doctors said if there is no recurrence of warts in the year after having them removed means my immune system cleared the virus off,from here i can say that iam no more contagious?and i am going to see 2 or 3 specialiste doctors and see what they say,thank you for giving me HOPE
