is a rough patch non my labia minora normal after a yeast infection

in january when i had my period i had some intense itching and i realized the skin around my vulva area was white and flaky. after my period was over 5 days later i noticed my left side of my labia minora was rough and tender to the touch and soon after it happened on my right side then accompanied by thick white discharge that then became clumpy then the itching returned i bought a fungal cream and was taking garlic for a while till the clumpy discharge went away but the rough patch is still on my labia minora, i never had a yeast infection so i dont know if this is normal i did go to the doctor but the said the rough patch was superficial

You might post in the womens health group but i will say that a yeast infection can damge the top layer of skin resulting in a rough spot.
