itched testicles then touched my sons tooth 10 minutes later

I feel physically sick, I am now beside myself with worry.

I was working in my office and I occasionally get an itch under my testicles, I am not sure if it is hair follicles or if due to the heat with sweating or of herpes (which is another long term worry of mine).

I itched finger to skin to relieve an itch for maybe 2 seconds, then around 5 or 10 minutes later my son came in complaining about his teeth (he wears a brace) I used the same finger with my thumb to hold the bottom of his tooth which he thought felt slack.

After I had done it I realised but was too late, I had some tissues in my office so said to him hold on and pretended something on his tooth and gave a little wipe and then he left my office. I then couldnt stop thinking about it so went and told him his teeth looked grey/dull and he needed to give them a good clean so escorted him to the bathroom to get him to clean his teeth and mouthwash which he did but his gum bled a tiny bit from the clean and then I worried more that it could be an easy way in for herpes etc.

Is there any risks here or am I being paranoid?

Please advise this is making me ill.

Reread what I wrote about his risk. See a Dr for your own issues.

I dont know if herpes or if yeast infection. Sit in a chair working on computer for 15 hours per day and have jock itch sometimes and what looks like yeast infection possibly. I work long hours and sometimes through the night without sleep and with heating on etc it can get me hot/sweaty ideal for yeast infection. Always working under pressure I realise my personal hygiene is not great.

If I had herpes would this make it possible to infect him in such a way? Or same for if I had yeast infection?

No risk, STD's have that name for a reason. Do you have herpes?

Yes I totally agree, it is not something I would intentionally do, it was an absolute silly thing, my office is far out from the run of the house and did not expect him to turn up.

Can I ask from your experience to support your answer, sorry not questioning you but are you medically trained or anything?

Many thanks for taking the time to answer it is appreciated.

There is no risk here from any spread of STDs to your son. However, may I suggest, just as a general rule, that you wash your hands before placing them in yours, or any other persons mouth.
