lump on tongue

hello
i am a gay man and yesterday i met up with a guy i have been chatting to on the net
we chatted for an hour or so and just before he left we had a kiss and a cuddle
after we finished kissing i noticed he hd a lump on his tongue i asked him what it was and he old me it was a burn from years ago
could i pick up any sti / std from this
and if i was to get tested how long should i leave it before i go to the gum clinic
i rang him later and told him of my concerns and he said i had hurt and upset him he had been honest with me
im really worried as im normally so careful

I can't think of an std that would cause a lump on the tongue.  If it wasn't an open sore, and was just a lump, then you are fine.

If you are this freaked about stds, perhaps you should have partners test before even kissing.
