why test

my patner went to the doctors he said went for a normal urine test but some weeks later he told me they had tested him for gonorrhea and chlamidya is there a reason to test him for this if we are both monagamous or did he have to requested one thanks.

Trichomonas can be contracted that way, but it is not likely for a person to contract chlamydia or gonorrhea from towel sharing.  It takes significant fluid to pass through the urethra.

Thank you for ur help he has since had these results back and they where negaive but the doctor asked him if he shared towels with his fellow marines which he does can stds be contracted this way? thanks

They would test if he were experiencing symptoms such as burning as a precaution, but that doesn't mean he has one.
