I totally agree - you need to stop self treating, and need to see your doctor.

If she has a yeast infection, yes it is likely that you have caught it from her. many people think that yeast infections are non-contagious, when, in fact, they are. I wouldn't advise you to keep asking on what you have to take for it and self-medicating etc. - Go see your doctor!

If a yeast infection is left untreated, it will worsen and become more painful and can lead to other severe problems.

This does sound like it could be a yeast infection.

The itching and dry flaky skin could indicate a yeast infection. If you are experiencing any other symptoms, such as constipation, bad breath, bloating, indigestion, frequent intestinal gas, frequent diarrhea, very loose stools, sexual dysfunction, irratibility and mood swings, fatigue or lack of energy, memory loss, jock itch, dry itchy flaky skin or athletes foot, these could also be a strong indication of a yeast infection.

However, there could also be many other reasons behind the symptoms you are seeing, so your best bet would be to stop self-medicating and going to see your local GP or getting an appointment with a dermatologist. By self medicating and not actually knowing what the problem is, you could easily be making it worse and last for longer.
