most causes of ngu are from sex/oral sex.
ok thank you. Is NGU aquired sexually or can you get that some other way??
Thank you
this is not the doctor's forum. you have to pay to post there. this is discussed several places on the forum including the read before posting post.
if you still have symptoms monday, call and be seen again somewhere and have further testing done. the antibiotics you had are just now starting to be effective so it does take a few days. The odds that you contracted chlamydia or gonorrhea from unprotected oral sex are very small and typically we wouldn't treat for them from it. it's more likely this is ngu more than anything.

can any doctor elaborate on the previous answer. i would like to add that I don"t and never had any kind of discharge from my penis. If I don"t have a UTI are there any other possible things that I could have that aren't an STD?
kdaily are you a doctor, oh I hope you are. I think he was doing me a favor because I wanted to be discreet becasue my wife and I are sperated and trying to m ake it work, this would def ruin those chances. While we were seperated is when I had the unprotected oral sex. Now we were sperated but I'm sure she will be just as mad. But what are NGU, Trick, HSV, and syphilis? I know syphilis is an std but what about the others. I really hope I don't have an std. Also I took 2 of those over the counter at home urinary tract infection tests. They were the AZO test strips and both came back negative. Thank you for your time I hope you can clarify.
Thanks again
well your doctor is a jackass... number one because he's treated you for something you may not have, number two those meds may interferer with any further testing and number three the reason we have a CDC it to keep track of STDs and such for records to know if it is getting better... for your own sake in the future if a doctor says they aren't going to test but only assume tell them you'd rather be tested...
Okay now that is out, ... unprotected oral sex is a risk for Gonorrhea which you've been treated for, NGU, Trick, HSV, and syphilis... the burning and pain in your abdomen could be cause but a urinary track infection, NGU, Trick.... you need to return to your doctor probably a better one or a urologist. You exposure was fairly low for any STD contraction so you may want to consider other possibilities.
