recurring positive

my boyfriend and i both got tested for chlamydia and results came back positive after one dose of zithromax i retested three weeks later and pcr was negative.  he has since undergone a cycle of doxy and two zithromax cycles and still comes back positive in his tests.  after first treatment, his urine tests started coming back negative but cultures positive.  We have not had any sexual relations since our first diagnosis almost three months ago now?  He is very worried and neither one of us or his urologist understand why he is still testing positive. Any input?  It can't be anything other than chlamydia because we both had all other tests run and every other "ia" testable came back negative.

Hmm I don't know what's going on with that.  I would contact customer service or support (can't remember offhand which they call it here), and find out.

Let me know when you post it, though.  I'm interested to see what the response is.

you seem to be very familiar with how this site works.  I tried to post a question, for a while allowable number of questions was reached and then it wouldn't accept any of my possible forms of payment which doesn't make sense I double checked everything.  I added a comment to one the doc had responded to, is there another way to contact the doctors?

Some infections are antimicrobial resistant, but it would be strange that yours isn't and his is.

I didn't find much, but you can try this - http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/PDF/rr/rr5115.pdf  (go to page 24)

This might be a good question for the docs in the doctor forum, but you have to pay $15 to ask it.

Sorry I could help more, and good luck!!
