red rash for 4 months and on labia

Hello,

I have a red rash on the right side of the labia and the crease of my leg for 4 months.  I have tried all the creams (cortisone, fungus etc...).  Recently I had a red swallen bump in the crease of the leg.  At first it was very painful, the second day it went flat and on the third day it looked like a mosquito bite.  I have been running a fever.   Does anyone has advice.

Thanks

You should see improvement by now.  Since you had it so long though, you might need another round of treatment.

They can also develop them on their own.

Thank you.  I took fluconzole 3 weeks ago?  Does it take that long to act? (1pill).  Also a man can give a woman yeast as considered STD or can a man develop them on their own as well?

Nope, you just need to let the Fluconazole work.  It might take a few days, but you should see a marked improvement by then.  Yeast won't be in your blood.

Yes, a man can give a woman yeast, but women can also develop them on their own.

Hello,

I have finally all the test backs.  No std (blood tests) but positive for yeast infection.  This has been going on for 5 months.  Never had any internal symptoms. ONly symptoms are the red labia, inner crease red and overly sensitive.  I did take a pill of Fluconazole and all the creams listed above.  What is next?  Can the fungus or yeast be in my blood stream?  Can a man passed a yeast infection to a  healthy woman?
Thank you always for your answers.

I will have the result by Monday or Tuesday Dec 2.  I will let you know ASAP.  Thank you for all your input.  I did think about what you said on the staph infection.  I did cut myself with some scissors when I was trimming hair on the labia.  The scissors might have been infected.... The redness on the labia was first after a month I think I did get a fungus in the crease of the leg.  I was wearing a wet bathing suit a lot and live in Florida.  I think both conditions happened separately.
I will  let you  know about the results.

He got the fungus infection from me and was diagnosed by his doctor.  The only symptom I have right now is a very red labia and a little bit of redness in the crease of the leg as well as a fever for the past week.   I had both the gynecologist and dermatologist looking at it.  Did not think it was herpes but I have read that symptoms are not that obvious.  I might have cut myself on the labia with infected scissors when trying to trim hair. I think I also had the symptoms of fungus in the crease of the leg.  So if I recapitulate I should do a wound culture.  She did a swab of the inner crease and the blood test.

You have another post going, so I will combine it here.  It helps us if everything is in one place.

Staph will not show up on a blood test (nor is that an accurate way to find chlamydia and gonorrhea), and yes, it is contagious.

However, you said in another thread that your husband had a fungal infection.  Its quite possible that you do too.  You need to get an exam done.  Your doctor needs to actually look at the symptoms, and not just draw blood.

I did some blood test for STD that I will get by Tuesday.  Is staph contagious?

This could be a staph infection, and you need to see your doctor, especially since you've had a fever.  If you can see your doctor today, that's great.  If not, maybe you can go to an urgent care center.

Make them do a wound culture on it to find out exactly what it is.
