risk with condom

I have had a few sexual episodes with female prostitutes, always using a condom, which remained in tact and was properly used. But decided to get tested just to be safe ( and to help with the guilt ridden anxiety), the doctor said that there was still a risk of catching stds. including HIV and Syphilis. I am in a relationship, and we use condoms, but  I would like to know if there is a risk of her catching anything while i wait for the results. The doctor advised I go back and get tested again in three months, as the last encounter was last week.  She has furthered my anxiety greatly, is there cause for me to be anxious, condoms are pretty much 100% reliable right (if used correctly) and the chances of a man catching HIV through hetrosexual sex is very very small even if the person is infected...Right?

Outbreak would be noticible bumps/sores near her vagina.

thanks for the advice.  Just to clarify what do you mean by an 'active outbreak'?

For HIV questions post in the HIV community.

The only real risk you had was syphilis, herpes and HPV, because those are skin to skin transfers but without an active outbreak you really had a very very low risk. And even with any outbreak your risk would still be low.
