Hi am a 32 yo man living in Cyprus i have had 3 and a half months ago unprotected oral sex with an escort. I gave him a bj he was about 20-22 i cannot remembering him cummin into my mouth . I should add that i have my check ups every 3 months. Now its been 3 and a half months since this happened and am scared to death to go and get tested again. Do you think i was in great danger from only one blowjob? Am confused and scared to death cause i read many sites that they says its fine and u do not get HIV from oral and then other sites say you do get infected. IF i was infected shouldn;t i got any symptoms by now? There are days which i feel a bit tired but i live in a country where the temperature is 45 degrees at the moment. So can someone help me and calm me down i do not want to go through another HIV test again its very stressing and emotional. Since that incident i have isolated my self at home and i do not have any sort of sex am just too scared. Do you think that what i described above i have got HIV? please help me to put this behind me and move on with my life!

ok thank you but can i add something as well? i just realized now that i got a clear colour mouth ulcer do u think after 3 and 1/2 months from that bj i got HIV? is that a sign and only appeared now? am so scared ... Is the mouth ulcers that is clear in colour an HIV sign or did i bite my lip maybe and cannot remember ? is it possible to bit your lip and not remember i think am going bananas from all these!

Ill repeat this again. YOU WERE NOT AT ANY RISK FOR CONTRACTING HIV. Its contracted through unprotected vaginal or anal sex and sharing drug needles. OK!!!!!

I have not gone for an HIV test since that happened am too scared to go and its just too emotional the whole experience i have been going regularly and testing but even the nurse said if am not having sex and only oral i shouldn;;t be putting my self to testing every 3 months. do u think i got HIV from that one bj am going crazy and scared to death. I cannot put my self into the same agony of HIV testing cause here we do not have rapid tests we only have the blood tests that takes up to 10 days for the results. do u think i put myy self in a danger from that only bj?

Hi oral sex is not a risk for contracting hiv but you can ask more about this in the hiv prevention forum. Other risks would be for herpes and syphils, What did you test for and how long after the affair did you test?
