IS HIV test results in 4 months are accurate?

Hi,

I have had sex with a prostitute only one time (used a condemn) and kissed her mouth to mouth.  I have developed the "Mouth Burning Pain / Sore Throat pain/  Joint Pain / Eye, Hand & Leg Burning Pain and skin outbreak" which is not going away.  I have taken  Augmentin 200mg & Clarithomycin 500mg  but that not solved any of my symptoms.

I have tested the HIV test in 3 1/2 months and again 4.5 months which are came negative.  I'm still suffering with  Mouth Burning Pain / Sore Throat pain/  Joint Pain / Eye, Hand & Leg Burning Pain and skin outbreak.  I would like to know:
1. How much I  can trust the  3/2 and 4/12 month HIV test results? Do I need to still go for HIV test after 6 months?
2. How can I get out from above symptoms and back to normal life style?

Thanks for your feedback on my case.

You need to see a doctor.  The medications you took won't cure any std, but there aren't any stds that would cause those symptoms.

the modern day tests are 99.3-100% accurate at 3 months, if you feel the need to retest you can do so at 6 months but honestly there is virtually ZERO chance your results will change.

as long as you are not taking immunosuppresents, which doesnt sound like you are...you don't need to worry anymore...the results you got are conclusive.

some info on the common tests used today:
http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/topics/testing/resources/journal_article/pdf/rapid_review.pdf

page 2 has the different types of Rapid HIV tests and its sensitivity

hope this helps.
