Bumps around vagina and still a virgin

my boyfriend and I have been dating for five months. Yeah sure we fool around. Well one night, he is fingering my vagina and he accidently cuts the outside with his nail. Day later I started my period. This wasn't an issue until a few days ago when I was changing a tampon and the place here he cut me started stinging really bad. I necked it out and even showed my mom. There is a cut with little bumps around it. It itches so badly. Well yesterday, I scratched it and found a new cut out of nowhere. I don't know what to do. Is this more serious than a simple cut from a fingernail? We haven't had sex so it couldn't possibly be an STD. HELP!!!!

it sounds to me as if the initial cut from his fingernail may have got infected when you came on your period. i doubt very much that you have an std, but i suggest you see your doctor about it anyway. it's probably just a small infection nothing serious
