Alexa,

Another suggestion in addition to putting a filter and possibly a tracker on your computer would be to have the computer in a public area. I am not even a parent yet but I am already concerned about my child's access to the internet not only for the mass amounts of available pornography but also child predators. I would limit your child's access at home (as much as possible) and put the computer in a public area. Your child is still rather young.

I would like to give my view point on this if I may. When I was his age I was very interested in checking out dad's mag stash at the age of seven and even was stimulating myself. My parents did not intervene or help seek out some metal help or discuss any of it with me. I have had relationship troubles with the opposite sex and I did think of them as sex objects and at that age always trying to seek a peek of a woman's anatomy. I would say remove the internet if possible (don't forget about him going over to a friends house) If he is alway looking at porn then yes he has an addiction to it and need to seek out some mental help. good luck and god bless

I'm sorry, but you can control  this easily.  Take everything off the computer except word for papers.  Library books are references too.

If you can't do that--set him up as a user and limit what he can do.

To be honest, I would pull the plug on  the internet. He is not old enough to thoroughly understand the things he will see.

I don't trust filters at all.

Good luck

yea it is normal for him to want to look at it. I would put a child block on the computer and if it dont help take it away and only let him use it for home work and sit by him when he uses it so you know what is goin on!

Try downloading this program from http://www.bsafehome.com/.  It should help you to protect your son from porn and predators.

Let him know that pornograhy is not something that represents a moral sexual relationship between a man and woman. Make him understand that women should be respected and not used as sexual objects, and neither should men. And let him understand the difference between waiting for true love, and just letting your hormones overtake you. If he understands how to respect himself and respect and value women, it will be unlikely that he will become promiscuouse, and want to experiment at an early age. It is our responsabilities as parents to shape the views and values of our children, Not some porn sight on the internet. I wish you luck, and blessings.

Child is doing a very normal thing.

Open a dirty book, and he will look.  It's human.

Have the Geek Squad come by & filter your child's computer.

Porn can become an addiction such as gambling.  So keep him away as much as possible, but don't expect him to just become uninterested.

He's getting to that age where he's starting to  explore his sexuality . When we were kids , someone would still their big brothers play boy and we would all check it out .          a filter , like jml said or set up a log on pass word so he can't get online without your permition . You need to set the rule and punish him if he disobeys . take away his computer motom  for a week if it happen again .

You need to put a filter on your computer. It will keep him from getting to them.
