Curious

I went to the doctor for mild testicles pain and was tested for UTI, Gonnerhea, and Chlamydia; all test came back negative. The doc initially told me to come back after a week if the pain does not go away. The mild pain was still there, so I went back and he did a exam of my testicles and said everything seem fine but he gave me a proscription for Cipro to take if the pain did not go away in a few days. Now I am taking Cipro and it has only been a four days and the mild pain is still there. The pain is so mild that I have to think about it for me to notice it, or I have rub my testicles to notice it. By no means are they tender to touch! How long does it take Cipro to work? Do I even need to be taking Cipro? I am just curious.

You maybe have mild epidimist or prostate infection.  Some bacteria are hard to culture?  Did you have any unprotected sex lately?

Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is an antibiotic in a group of drugs called fluoroquinolones (flor-o-KWIN-o-lones). It is used to fight bacteria in the body.

Cipro is used to treat different types of bacterial infections. It may also be used to prevent or slow anthrax after exposure.

Cipro may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

I just took that off the Web, under a search of 'cipro'.  Don't know if this is helpful, but that's the best I can do.  Blessings - Blu
