Do I still have an infection?

About 8 days ago I took Monistat 1 because I believed I had a yeast infection (I did not go to a doctor). I was itchy and it burned like crazy like I expected but after the first day I was totally fine. However, I started to leak the white clumpy discharge which I figured was the little egg thing I put inside of me. Well it stopped leaking and my partner and I thought it was safe since its been over a week to have sex. Afterwards, the condom was filled with white clumps like previously from the medication. I'm just wondering if that's normal or did I do something wrong? Is that part of the medication still there or do I have the infection still? There is no smell, no itching, no burning. Sorry for the TMI, I'm just really curious with whats going on.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It looks like the yeast infection is still persisting. Take some precautionary measures like avoid wearing tight fitting clothing like jeans and pantyhose and underwear made from synthetic fibresRemove wet or damp bathing suits immediately after swimming, avoid douching, perfumed soaps, bubble baths and toiletries, change underwear daily, wash underwear in hot water (to destroy fungi) and double rinse (to remove any irritating detergent) and take adequate nutrition and sleep. Also use some antifungal pessaries like clotrimazole, miconazole or nystatin which are available over the counter. If still the symptoms persist then oral antifungals may be needed.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thank you so much! I actually just went to my doctors today and after my yeast infection cleared I guess I started to get a UTI. So I am on antibiotics now to help get rid of it. Lets hope things will start to clear up and go back to normal! Thank you again:)
