Extremely painful, recurring cysts/boils on my vaginal area for 3 years... HELP!

for the past 3 years i have been getting cysts [or boils?] on my vulva and inner thighs. they are only in those areas. as soon as one dries up, there is a new one starting up. the first sign is an itch that  stays itchy until the bump grows larger. if you squeeze on the bump it is extremely painful. some eventually produce blood/puss, but some just get really bad, then go down a little and then flame up again. like its some kind of game! i had one Dr tell me that it was from shaving. so then i stopped shaving. and noticed no change. One of the worst ones ive ever had was about the size of a tangerine on my labia kind of towards my butt. i could barely walk, use the toilet, etc....  i have been given antibiotics and they started clearing up, but they were coming back as soon as the pills were gone. do you think this is something to do with my immune system? could this be a symptom of a disease?

A couple suggestions...

1.) Make sure you keep the area clean.

2.) Wipe front to back.

3.) Trim dont shave.

4.) When you feel the 'itch', start applying a very hot washcloth to that area for 5-10 minutes 3-5x a day.

Sounds like you have a few ingrown hairs from the shaving, or perhaps have an aggressive strain of bacteria living in the area.

Could be something to do with the amount of sweat in the area, sweat being the perfect place to harbour bacteria that could invade the skin and cause these boils. Due you get frequent yeast infections, and do you get them when you take antibiotics?

Hope someone has some better ideas :-)
