Help please. Is this an STD or something else?

After sex my genital area became very itchy and I got my period the next day. It's been 5 days now and my genital area is painful and swollen. My labia are extremely swollen and "wrinkly" and now there are little red bumps on the labia and clitoris and around the vaginal hole. I've been with my partner for 3 years, no one else and I get checked yearly. What do you think this is? I can't go to the doctors yet until my period is over. Please help

probably bacteria or an infection. Maybe a curable STD. Just wait to see the doc

Thanks for commenting.  I don't think it's a urinary infection because I've had them before and this is totally different.  Do you think it's herpes and I got it a long time ago, but it's showing symptoms now? I think that's the worst case scenario.

For starters try to keep calm. Its not something serious duo to your annual testing. Maybe you had a rough intercourse or did you use a lubricant? In any case you can wait 1 or 2 days and visit a doctor, perhaps a gynecologist. For me it sounds like an urinary infection .
Keep calm
