Minocycline and Yeast Infections

Hey there

I have been on minocycline for 5 weeks now and am so frustrated. I have a constant yeast infection. I have taken a perscribed medication for it and over the counter and neither made it go away. Now I feel I have to choose between my skin and my sexual reproductive health. Is there a way to releive the yeast infection while on the antibiotics, or am I forced to stop acne treatment? I should mention I live in a remote town with no MD, I only get to see him once a year.

Also, he gave me 3 months worth of treatment - After this cycle can I stop taking it? Or is this a life long thing? I don't want to live this way.

P.S. As long as you're on a antibiotic the probiotic  will not help because the antibiotic
will keep killing the good bacteria.
If you stop taking the antibiotic continue on the probiotic  for a few weeks. when the yeast infection stops you can continue taking the probiotic  as directed on the bottle
For teen-agers or adults with acne, 30 milligrams of zinc (as picolinate or citrate) taken
one to three times daily according to the severity of the problem.  For general skin health, 15 to 30
milligrams daily is usually sufficient. Zinc should usually be offset with a small quantity of copper,
approximately 1 milligram for each 15 milligrams of zinc
Buy these at any health food store. What ever  probiotic product you buy make sure it's the type that has to be refrigerated.
