Virgin: Safety of Amsterdam Red light district

I am a 26 year old virgin. I have such a strong desire to be with a women. I lack all confidence and as a result I have never been with a women. Some friends of mine booked a trip to Amsterdam and I'm going. I want to have sex, and at this point I dont mind paying for it. However, Im severly concerned about HIV and I dont want to bring home anything I didn't bring with me. I read that these prostitutes are tested regularly and mandated by the government. I also have read that there are no mandatory testing policies or guidelines. I know I'll be wearing a condom but i dont like the whole idea of putting myself at risk. Does anyone know the testing policies in Amsterdam with regards to prostitution? I know they have free health care and that there are clinics all over the city. But are these women really tested? and are they forced by the government? I can't find the information I need. Hopefully someone can help. I want to know what sex feels like. I just dont want to get HIV because im curious. Can anyone help me ease my anxiety. I just want the truth.  Some threads say these women are tested weekely other say they are not

Your personal anxiety and insecurities are what are driving your inner psychological fears.  relax!

As for the safety of Amsterdam, it is very safe.  I visited, and had a blast.  They are required by law to have protection for any sexual act.  One girl showed me the book of laws on it and it was nearly a half inch thick!

Sex workers in Amsterdam are not required by law to have HIV/STD check-ups, but most of them do voluntarily. Also, nearly every licensed sex worker will not do anything without a condom - so the risk of them having an STD is very small. If you use protection the whole time, the chances you will catch anything are extremely small (practically zero).

Have fun!!
