Hi, I've recently gotten into my first serious relationship and after a while, I've decided that I'm ready for sex. (I'm a straight female) We got everything ready; condoms, water-based lube, good timing, good atmosphere, ample arousal, etc.
Side note; I used to be scared of things entering my vagina, and have still never used a tampon or put any foreign object inside of me, but I'm completely ok and at ease with the idea of putting a penis inside me, especially since it's attached to my lovely boyfriend.
Long story short, we tried it out, started slow and everything, and I found that it was very difficult to insert him more than the head. I felt like there was a wall inside of me that really, /really/ hurt when he pushed against it. We tried a few different positions, to no avail.
I'm aware that it's my hymen, and that most of the time, it's supposed to hurt a bit the first time, and I was ready for that. But the excruciating pain that I felt wasn't normal. I'm just concerned about it, and don't know if I should just forcibly break it, with extreme pain, or go see a physical gynaecologist so that they can see what's up.
I'd really appreciate any advice you can give me!
Thanks!
