Should I use Plan B... again?

Alright, here's the deal.

I'll start from the beginning. About 9 months ago my boyfriend and I had a condom accident and slipped off and it stayed inside me. I didn't want to take any risks, so I took Plan B the next day. Everything was fine, and we had no more accidents... until about two weeks ago. We had another slip. Knowing what I had to do to prevent pregnancy I took Plan B, to be exact, sunday march 10th, today is the 21st. My period should have been here by now (around the 15th/16th), it is a week delayed but I read Plan B can do that, disrupt your cycle. Well with that in mind, last night my BF and I had a condom break (which has never happened) and now I don't know what to do.

I know you shouldn't take Plan B more than two times a year, and I wondered if the last time I took it could prevent pregnancy for this new accident. Because they happened so closely to each other and my cycle could be disrupted?. So, is it safe to take another dose?

(add. info) I know birth control is the best way to prevent this freaking out when accidents like these happen, the thing is I can't afford it...

No you should not take plan b again, its not good for your body and should not be taken as a form of bc. I think you are safe. But if you have a planned parenthood by you they will give you bc for free.

Yeah and I read as well that sometimes Plan B can alter your cycle a bit.

And I figured, well I got my period meaning there's no egg to fertilize and there shouldn't be one released until I ovulate, so taking Plan B again would be somewhat pointless, right?

since you got your period you don't need to take plan b. For future reference sometimes our cycles can change or we may even skip one for no reason. It was only a week late so you don't need to worry, it's perfectly normal to be a little late(: You're not pregnant Hun.

Ok, so update.

I went to Planned Parenthood yesterday and they told me it would be fine to take Plan B again, but that I should take a pregnancy test because my period was late 1 week. I took a test and it came out negative, and I got my period this morning... should I still take Plan B? Or should I be fine?

You're welcome(: if you are scared about being pregnant just take a test and it should be accurate. I was 5 days late and got a positive test.

Yeah, I figured I shouldn't, specially with the very short time range between both accidents.

I think there is a Planned Parenthood somewhere here. I'll check it out later today. Thanks!
