Hello,
Studies have shown that having BV when you're pregnant is associated with an increased risk of preterm birth and having a low-birth-weight baby, preterm premature rupture of the membranes (PPROM), and uterine infection after delivery. A few studies show a connection between BV and second-trimester miscarriage.
If you're diagnosed with BV, you'll be given a course of antibiotics that are considered safe to take during pregnancy.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Talk to your doctor. He or she might prescribe a different antibiotic.
