Of course, everyone is different, but, yes, many men feel as if they've been hit by a freight train after they've had an ejaculation, so this would impact any further activity.
You're referring to the male refractory period. Physiologically, orgasm and ejaculation is quite energy-consuming. Following ejaculation, many guys experience a total physical shutdown. First, you can't get another erection for a while (I have a friend who says God designed this to give us time for a cigarette and a cold glass of water), your leg muscles weaken and you get a tired feeling. Interestingly, there's also a psychological component. Many guys report that immediately following ejaculation all sexual desires go away. For example, during sex or masturbation you might have sexual thoughts of what you want to do after you ejaculate (i.e., go back to foreplay or afterplay with your partner) but as soon as you ejaculate you no longer have those desires. Oftentimes, women complain because we fall asleep immediately afterwards. It's all normal physiology.
Obviously the more vigorous the sex is the more likely you are to feel all rung out. That's why the feeling is referred to as being "spent." It's just the way we're designed.
