nuva ring and odor

I have recently started using the nuva ring and I have begun to notice an odor when I urinate or even just remove my underwear. I have just begun seeing my boyfriend, that is why I began nuva. we have not slept together since I first put it in and I am very embarrassed about this smell. he is my first boyfriend and the first guy I slept with, but I can not go on the pill as I pick up a lot of weight and was very depressed on it. is there anything I can do to remove the smell? I'll try anything.
That is my other question, I suffer from depression and it worsens as I gain weight, does the nuva ring have a history of weight gain? the web page does not mention it and that is why my nurse and I decided to try it , but I am already retaining more water and I'm becoming worried!

Sure, you can use a vinager adn water ******, or a feminine deordorant. But beware, using these products make it more likely you'll get a yeast infection.

Hi Kelly. Well I am on the Nuva Ring as well. I do notice a bit more of a smell, and I believe its b/c we have something just chillin in our vagina that "shouldn't" be. It does go away tho. Also, just like you being on the pill I would get sooooo irrational, but the Nuva Ring is amazing!! No weight gain, I actually lost weight b/c of it and my moods were enver better :)
