Overmasturbation recovery process?

It recently came to my attention that masturbating too much has many mental effects that can lead to depression and anxiety (among others). I wouldn't say my masturbating was way over the line, but I had experienced many of the symptoms here: http://www.sexualweakness.com/masturbation.html. Also, I wasn't as happy as I had been. On average, I probably jerked off 1-2 times per day for 5 years straight, with a few days off here and there.

Being as I'm only 20 years old, take the highest quality multivitamin/omega 3 supplements, have a good diet and in good shape, how long do you think it will take to fully recover physically and mentally? I've gone about two weeks without masturbation already.

Hi Ashley, so far you have done 2 weeks, you need to do another 6 weeks to get you back and up and running better, if you can get through this, withour breaking down to the big,M then you will be a better men, and why your doing this try and eat healthy, get out and exercise.
But you must give up porn for life, and its your sex you will be doing it for.

Given my situation, how long do you think I should continue to not masturbate? I've heard that you shouldn't go longer than one month with ejaculation.

During this "abstinence" so far, there are a few noticeable effects. Most of my anxiety is gone, happier and more calm mood, more motivated, and it feels like there's "more" in the interior lol. Like the muscles inside my **** have gotten stronger, which I'm sure they have. I actually found out about how too much ejaculation can cause these problems, but I was with a girl this summer and wanted to do stuff with her until she left for college.

Most of the time I masturbated it was to porn, but I don't really have any penile problems. I can still get turned on and get erections and everything like that. I never really paid attention to "morning wood" but I don't think it happens to me too much. I know it did the other day, but I guess I don't pay enough attention right when I wake up to know. And I've been with sexual with three women (sex once and a ton of blowjobs lol).

Hi Ashley, Just a thought have you ever done this to porn? OK if so you could now be suffering from porn enduced ED, and if so its an 8 week break you need to be on, with no masturbating, no sexual contact of any kind, but real over masturbating can give you some real problems, the ones you've said and eye problems as well, so just carry on with your sabbatical from masturbating and then just cut it back to a couple of times a week, but at 20 its about time to find yourself a young women, and start a real sex life.
