Hello, i have a slight worry and wonder if someone might be able to shed some light on a situation. I have a flat tan brown mole of about 3mm diameter near my shoulder but on my chest area. It is all the same colour but one of the borders of it slightly bleed, ever so slightly, and i wouldnt call it perfectly symmetrical because of this. Ive shown it to a few doctors over the years and they have all said they wouldnt be worried about it, but ive always toyed with the idea of getting it removed. Its there about seven years but hasnt changed really at all in years. I mentioned it again to my doctor recently as its always in my line of vision, and i suppose im aware of it now, she said again she wouldnt be worried but would refer me if id prefer, but in my country there is a long waiting list and ill be waiting maybe about a year as i wont be seen as priority case.
Anyway, the other day, i noticed the corner of this mole was slightly raised, as if one of the pores was blocked, so i slghtly squeezed the raised bit and a bit of water came out, then i applied pressure with a hot facecloth to the mole. After doing so, id damaged the skin a little bit and now it looks like the corner of the mole is missing and the area is a little red. Has anyone got any experience of damaging a flat mole like this? Would you think it happens often? and could i still get this mole removed now? It appears to be healing now as ive just been applying a bit of antiseptic cream and bio oil, but im a bit worried, ill obviously show it to my doctor in a week or so when the area is completely healed but i just wanted to know if anyone else has done this and if sounds like melanoma?
