I'm so sorry that your mom is going through this thing. I know you're scared. I don't know anything about your mom's situation and I am not a medical expert. What I do know is that I was called home from college back in 1975 and told that my dad had stage IV melanoma and would only live another 3 months. Our knowledge of cancer and the survival rate in 1975 was very different from what it is today. My dad hasn't had an easy time of things but he's in his 80's now and looking forward to the birth of his fifth grandchild.
so far 34 years after diagnosed stage IV melanoma?Encouraging!
What's the therapy that works so wonderfully?thank you.
yea what therapy did your dad use?
It was an experimental treatment in the 70's which they are no longer using. I once asked my dad how he survived and he told me that it had to do with the strength of his will to live and his unwillingness to accept the diagnosis as a death sentence no matter what the doctors said.. Today he showed me his newest squamous cell scar while I proudly displayed my new basal cell scar. What a family! :o)
