Hi there I'm really paranoid lately about melenoma and have already asked a question about a molly freckle before but this is a new one. I saw a tiny dark brown 1mm or less slightly raised freckle/ mole on the back of my leg tonight. I've no idea how long it's been there, could be years who knows, it seems slightly darker than even my darkest moles, is this a really bad sign or is it just more pigmented because of it's size? Should I just keep an eye on it for the moment?

Thanks guys, no I've been to three gps about the one on my chest and they have all had a close look, two of these gps remove moles all the time and are not slightly worried, although I have it about seven years and it did grow over that time, it stopped doing anything about two years ago, it's flat, tan colour, 3mm and hair can be seen on it under a magnifying glass, so I'll be ages waiting to see the dermatologist as I'm not a priority case! She said she will watch it though and I'll be keeping a close eye on it too. I will show her the tiny black one next time.

I think you are having your other one off just to be on the safe side right? Can you show this little dark one to the person doing the biopsy. Just because it is dark doesn't make it a worry. I have lots of little round dark spots. Keep an eye on it but try not to stress out.

One of your moles will be your darkest mole, if you know what I mean.

Take care and be kind to yourself until you hear about the one on your shoulder.
